Ocean-Side Electric started with one goal: bring serious electrical know-how to the coastal communities of Delaware. Robert Miller, our owner, is a Delaware native who came up in the trade right here, and he'd noticed something about homes in Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, and the towns around them. Salt air chews through fixtures and connections faster than it does inland, and a house that sits quiet all winter can suddenly be running full tilt with a packed weekend crowd come July. That takes an electrician who actually understands the pattern, not somebody who swings by, swaps a part, and disappears. Since then we've built a name for showing up when we said we would, walking through the work in plain language, and leaving your place tidier than we found it. Word of mouth has also done most of the heavy lifting for us, which tells you a lot about how we treat people.

Staying local has been a deliberate choice, because it lets us build real relationships with families and business owners across Sussex County instead of chasing volume. Pricing works differently here too. Everything is flat-rate and laid out before we start, so you're never doing math in your head while we're still in the driveway. Our crew is made up of people, not robots reading from a script, and we'd rather take the extra minute to explain what's going on than leave you nodding along to something you didn't follow. We also install premium panels and components, which lets us offer lifetime warranties instead of the standard manufacturer coverage that runs out after a few years.

With more than 20 years in the electrical trade, Rob Miller brings experience, discipline, and genuine passion to every project he takes on.

A proud veteran who served our country, Rob carries the values of integrity, responsibility, and commitment into his everyday work. His background in service shaped the way he approaches both his craft and the people he serves.

For Rob, electrical work has never just been a job—it’s a craft. He’s especially known for his troubleshooting ability, often finding solutions quickly and efficiently when others can’t. Helping customers solve problems isn’t just part of the work for him—it’s the part he enjoys most.

“Helping people is why I do this,” he says. “If someone needs help, I’m going to do whatever I can.”

Rob takes great pride in the details. He believes electrical work should not only function flawlessly, but also look clean and organized. The aesthetics of wiring matter to him, and he’s committed to doing every job the right way and as efficiently as possible without cutting corners.

A true Delaware native, Rob takes pride in being homegrown and serving the community he knows and loves. He’s a local through and through and someone who understands the people here because he is one of them.

Outside of work, Rob is first and foremost a family man. His family is his world. When he’s not on a jobsite, you’ll likely find him spending time with them or out on his boat—where, if you ask him, he’d probably live full-time if he could.

At Oceanside Electric, Rob represents steady leadership, experience, and service—both to his country and to his community. His goal is simple: solve problems, serve people well, and leave every home better than he found it.

Shilore Figueroa

When asked why he chose the electrical trade, Shilore Figueroa doesn’t talk about money or business growth. Instead, he talks about challenge and service.

“I wanted something that would push me,” he says. “But I also wanted to help people.”

Shilore began his career in 2017 and quickly developed a passion for troubleshooting, solving problems that leave homeowners frustrated and designing lighting that makes a house feel more like home. From under-cabinet and recessed lighting to full landscape lighting, he enjoys bringing both function and comfort to a space.

At Oceanside Electric, what stands out most to him isn’t just the work. It’s the heart behind it.

“It’s homegrown. It feels like family,” he explains. “We all get along, we support each other, and that energy carries into how we treat our customers.”

Outside of work, Shilore is a proud dog dad to five dogs and a lifelong basketball junkie who loves both playing and watching the game. He’s also preparing for his newest role—fatherhood —something he says has given him an even deeper sense of purpose.

Family and friends inspire him daily. They push him to grow, improve, and show up better.

For Shilore, electrical work isn’t just about fixing issues. It’s about peace of mind.

“I just want people to feel taken care of,” he says. “At the end of the day, I’m just here to help.”

Shayne Glasgow

As one of the rising members of the Oceanside Electric team, Shayne Glasgow represents dedication, growth, and heart.

Coming up on two years in the trade and with the company, Shayne has already made a strong impression. His ability to learn quickly has stood out, something many attribute to the fact that he’s an exceptional listener who absorbs knowledge and applies it with focus and care.

For Shayne, one of the most rewarding parts of the electrical trade is simple: there’s always something new to learn. Every day presents a new challenge, and he embraces each opportunity to grow his skillset.
